Well here we are. Feb 4th

Today is my sister Kelly's birthday.. or so it had been as she lived. Today is also World Cancer Day, Kelly died of Leukemia.

We celebrated like crazy for many years in Feb., because her birthday was the 4th and mine is the 26th! We were twins ya know, for at least a month We had such a good time with that. Since her death, it has been a hard three weeks. I am hoping that by getting involved in Cancer Awareness, that I grow and heal. My dear Mother died of Cancer March 8th 1978, a year before my daughter was born.

Cancer is not just a cause. I lost my other sister (2 years younger than I) in November due to so much pain that all this can cause.

This is a hard journal, but not something I can run from. This is real. I am ALIVE, I must do what I can, whatever that may be.

CANCER IS NOT JUST A CAUSE

:candle: My aunt Julia is a hero of mine. She has survived many types of Cancer. She is on a Cancer Awareness Board where she lives, when just a year or so she couldn't walk, eat or drink and we were told she wouldn't be with us much longer. My dear dear friend Patty died last month of breast cancer (5th death I had in my life of loved ones in 3 months!)She was a survivor, she lived life to it's fullest. Her cancer went into remission after treatment numerous times, and although she was very young, she finally succumbed.. but as a hero a true hero.

This all sounds so very depressing, and I might have a hard time bringing out the positive with all I've been through this season.

There is hope! Lives are being saved, more treatments are being found, more breasts are being saved!! (Yay boobies!)

I am reintroducing my poem "Mom?" I hope you like it. I just have to.
