Personal Works-some of my faves.





Wow!! So, much has been going on with my life that I missed all this amazing new stuff here on dA!! WOW

Are you excited?
Well, let me catch you up a bit:

I am now a student at the Academy of Arts University (AAU) in SF, CA!
Isn't that something? Maybe they can teach this old dog new tricks. I have spent most of my adult life working in the Arts in some way or another, but this is completely different. I might FAIL a test...ohh dear...

Oh and to make some extra money, (Aren't we all trying to do that right now??)
I got an Ad Design job for a local market! Cool huh? Doing some Web design too.

The logo I posted last journal is now in use 100% by the company. They are up and moving.



Well, I wanted to hurry and get this journal out, to let you know about my son Ruben's trip to Uganda. Things fell through for him when he was to leave a year ago and then he was slated to go to Cambodia. Sadly the host family in Cambodia lost their 15 yr old son tragically and from there they had tragedy after tragedy. It was so very sad.


As Ruben waited to see if things would work out his pals from Uganda started back at him and now he will be leaving for Uganda shortly. We have many friends building wells in Sudan but the fit just didn't seem right for Ruben. He has found a place when they need him to help with the youth. It is very exciting. You might notice that it is being hosted by Raven's Relief! Yes, the organization that was born right here on dA.

I am excited to see things moving forward. It really was hard on me this past holiday season. I hibernated quite a bit as I coped with all that was happening.

Woow, Shell, that's marvellous! That study will give you quite some new challenges to further explore and develope yout talents... don't fear, you won't fail the tests ;) :hug:

And good luck to your son! That it may be a marvellous experience for him :heart: - Uganda is such a beautiful, friendly country... They call it "the warm heart of Africa". I'm sure he will love it!

:wow: That is awesome, Shell. My sister-in-law whom I dearly love is a Christian Missionary in Kampala too. Her name is Kappy and the organization is Action International. It is scary having her there where Christians are so hated by so much of the population, but the work they are doing is unbelievable. If Reuben should happen to cross paths with her, ask him to say hello.

Tell Reuben to be careful though. Kappy and Jim are at home there, never want to come back and I think they are beginning to consider Lugandan their first language. jk;)
