Glacier Moon

I do really love this shot- It stood out in my watch box and in thumbnail view which is usually a good indication of overall composition and color.
The blues are excellent captured and I'm impressed with the variations of tone and color you've captured in the snow, which is almost impossible to photograph without blowing out the highlights. Including the trees in the foreground gives depth and scale to the shot as well.
Since this is a critique, though, I must say I think the frame is cropped way too close. You lose the scope and scale of the mountains and when you're talking the Canadian Rockies, you gotta have scale. An extra "inch" or so on the top and sides would have opened this whole piece up and made it feel like you were in the mountains.
Overall I love it. You feel the cold, you feel the ice, you feel the grandeur, but unfortunately you feel claustrophobic at the same time! Overall, good work, Shell!
